The paneling project is taking a little longer than we expected. We’ll share an update soon. In the meantime…
Every now and then a shop or an office inspires us so much that we can’t resist dropping in (we did the same when we visited a fun kids consignment shop). We recently wandered into the office of Towne & Reese, a jewelry company inspired by the founders’ children, thanks to a house-crashing visit from a few years back. If you remember that house crash, you’ll recognize the couple. Here are a few photos to jog your memory:

Here’s a picture of the couple with their daughter Towne when we first visited:

The couple are Christi and Barret. Christi is half of Towne & Reese, which explains the name. Since Christi has such strong style instincts, we had to see how she transformed a blank office canvas. Here’s what the space looked like before she began:
Now the office is bright and inviting. You’re greeted by a cheerful blue wall emblazoned with the company logo. The color was pulled directly from a rug that inspired the entire makeover. That rug, found on sale at Anthropologie, dictated the palette and some accent choices. Leather poufs and a striking side table came from a local shop called Post & Gray, adding texture and warmth.
To the right of the logo wall is another teal wall, painted in the same Valspar shade (Tropical Oasis), which serves as a backdrop for their jewelry displays.
Christi used linen canvases in various shapes and sizes to pin up pieces of jewelry, creating an elegant, gallery-like presentation. Despite the cheesy reputation of the term, “bling” feels entirely appropriate here — the displays are fun and glamorous.
Mixed among the canvases is a large secondhand mirror from Post & Gray. It makes a dramatic statement and serves a practical purpose: customers can try on jewelry and check the look in the oversized mirror.
Christi picked up the linen canvases affordably at Binders; by signing up as a preferred customer (free), she was able to take advantage of excellent canvas sales.
That giant ornate mirror is as tall as a person and features a textured, grass-cloth-like finish at the top. From this angle you can also spot a sliver of the second accent color that Christi pulled from the rug for another area of the office.
Beyond the canvas wall there’s a pop of raspberry on an accent wall — Panama Rose by Olympic. The two rugs in that area came from Ikea, and the conference table is a secondhand find from The Sleepy Poet.
The metal chairs are from Overstock; they were an affordable set and work perfectly with the industrial-meets-vintage vibe. The convincing tabletop greenery is from Ikea — it looks real and adds life to the space.
Facing the raspberry wall of frames, you’ll find a shelf with black stools (also from Overstock) and a deep, rich chalkboard wall. Christi used Valspar’s Chalkboard Paint from Lowe’s, which produced a truly saturated, non-cloudy finish.
The chalkboard bears playful scribbles from the Towne & Reese crew and friends, giving the office a kid-friendly corner complete with a small Ikea table and colorful poufs from Urban Outfitters.
Christi’s design mixes industrial elements (metal seating and stools), secondhand treasures (the conference table and mirror), budget-friendly finds (Ikea pieces), and bold color choices (the blue and raspberry accent walls). The result feels curated, joyful, and approachable — a welcoming place to work and meet clients.
Here’s one more view of the space. Christi softened the industrial pieces with a secondhand buffet from Post & Gray, which pairs beautifully with the metal seating and the raspberry wall peeking around the corner.
One charming boutique-style detail: rings displayed on a plate of dry beans — a simple, playful way to showcase jewelry. It’s a small, creative touch that embodies Christi’s budget-conscious, cheerful decorating approach. The space feels happy and inviting — a great place to work.
Thanks to Christi and Jessica (the other half of Towne & Reese) for welcoming us in and letting us admire — and photograph — their inspiring office. They even offered a discount for readers: enter YOUNGHOUSELOVE15 for 15% off their jewelry line.
So, what’s your favorite element? It’s hard to pick, but the linen canvases, the black stools, and that joyful raspberry wall are standouts.
Psst — check out other places we’ve visited in our house-crashing series.
Pssst — we also featured a nursery-turned-big-girl-room on BabyCenter today.
