Thanks to the fact that our master bedroom has a huge floor-length mirror (a surprise wedding gift from John so I could check my dress before slipping out the back door to get married)…
…the second mirror to the right of the bedroom door felt redundant.
We took the chance to replace that mirror with one of our homemade botanical prints in an affordable Ikea frame. I like it so much I’m thinking of adding another frame below it with a different botanical—just waiting for our next trip to Ikea to make it happen.

Maybe it’s the bulbs pushing through the flowerbeds or the forsythia beginning their annual show, but I felt like switching the art over my desk to something less wintry. We had a favorite photo from our Alaskan honeymoon—taken from a tiny seaplane window as we flew over a glacier dusted with volcanic ash. It’s still one of our most cherished shots, but with spring in the air I wanted something brighter and leafier.
So I did a quick two-minute swap and hung another botanical we made. The lighter, leafy vibe feels perfect for the season.
