It’s high time we highlighted a few projects from our prolific, pregnant Twitter friend Jen Woodhouse, who recently relocated from Nashville to the Richmond area. Since arriving in Virginia Jen has been busily nesting, and we thought you’d enjoy seeing several of her recent makeovers and DIYs. You can find more photos and details on her blog, The House of Wood.
Inspired by your Craigslist dresser makeover, I refinished an old dresser to use as a changing table and storage dresser for our little Eggroll. You can read more about that dresser project on my blog.
I also made a tufted headboard and created inexpensive artwork to hang above it. The headboard was a step-by-step build, and the artwork was an easy and budget-friendly project. Read more about the artwork and see the headboard tutorial on my site.
Finally, I tackled an organization project for baby clothes. I bought plain clothing dividers from an online supply store, created a printable template, found cute background images, and edited them to match in Photoshop. I printed the designs on full-sheet labels, trimmed them, and adhered them to the dividers for a personalized touch. It’s a simple, affordable way to tidy a dresser or closet.
Thanks so much for letting us share your projects, Jen! They’re all fantastic, and we can’t pick a favorite. We’re sure Eggroll will love the nursery when the time comes. What do you think — which project stands out to you? Are any of you currently nesting, refinishing furniture, crafting artwork, building a headboard, or making closet dividers? Tell us about your projects.
