In fact, I had previously mused to John, “the jute rug in the bedroom could easily move to the dining room since we’re planning to get a natural fiber rug for under the table there, and it’s certainly big enough.” This thought illustrates our openness to new possibilities and our flexible approach to home decor. Therefore, when we learned about a massive tent sale at our favorite lighting outlet, The Decorating Outlet (a place that also sells fantastic rugs, like the thick wool rug in Clara’s bedroom, her blue capiz chandelier, and the grand glass pendants in our kitchen), we knew we had to investigate.

In fact, sometimes a space doesn’t truly click into place until the very last adjustment has been made. And I would confidently say we are at least a dozen tweaks away from that final, harmonious stage. With the magnificent new rug now in residence, the pillows, curtains, and lamps are undoubtedly next in line for some serious tweak-age. But rest assured, we will get there someday, transforming every corner into a reflection of our evolving style.
