Hi John and Sherry! We bought our first house almost two years ago from an elderly woman who had painted everything pink — walls, trim, even the ceilings. I bought 18 gallons of paint the day of closing. I knew we had a lot of work ahead but I didn’t fully grasp sweat equity at the time. First up was the puke-green carpet, then the wall color. Honestly, I would have been happy to stop there. But after some clearance finds and a whole lot of spray paint, my vision started to come together. What a cozy, comfortable bedroom refresh. The deep chocolate paint brings warmth, while crisp white curtains and bedding keep the space from feeling too heavy. We especially love the small hooks Meg added to the left of the window to display jewelry — practical and pretty.
