As you can see in the picture, the excess fabric created a messy and untidy impression, undermining the clean, streamlined aesthetic we were working so hard to achieve. While IKEA curtains often come with a webbed hem tape, we prefer not to use it for our projects. Instead, we invest a few dollars at Michael’s for an iron-on hem tape that we’ve come to love and trust: “Heavy Duty Heat N’ Bond.” Our preference stems from its superior adhesion and durability, which ensures a long-lasting and crisp hem. This product creates a strong bond that withstands regular washing and wear much better than the standard IKEA offering.
